A man has passed on after 35 individuals - including youngsters - were found in a delivery compartment at Tilbury Docks in Essex.
The survivors, experiencing extreme lack of hydration and hypothermia, are constantly treated at adjacent healing centers.
The revelation was made on Saturday when the boat, which had touched base from Zeebrugge, Belgium, was being emptied.
Essex Police has propelled an examination and officers are constantly helped by their Belgian partners.
It is not known where the compartment, one of 64 on board the P&o vessel, began.
The East of England Ambulance administration, which was called to the docks at 06:37 BST, sent seven ambulances, two quick reaction autos, two specialists and a perilous range reaction group to the scene.

She said the disclosure was made when "clamor from the compartment made it evident there were individuals inside."
Belgian police are helping Essex Police with their examination and analyzing CCTV footage as a feature of their enquiries.
