Plan to execute sharks close sunny shores

More than 170 sharks have been gotten on lines under a disputable winnow strategy in Western Australia.

Drum lines were set up along seven Western Australian sunny shores as a major aspect of a trial between January and April. Fifty of the greatest sharks were pulverized.

Powers said the separate was vital after six individuals were executed in shark ambushes.

No extraordinary white sharks, to whom a large portion of the strike were credited, were gotten.

Australia's state government said the separate was effectively restoring trust around beachgoers.

It is trying to proceed with the project for three more years.

"I think the technique's gone exceptionally well, staying aware that its an extremely expansive method, and that is fundamentally to secure those individuals that swim in those famous zones," Western Australia Fisheries Minister Ken Baston said.

"While obviously we will never know whether any of the sharks got might have hurt an individual, this administration will dependably put most amazing esteem on human life."

Dissidents contend that a shark winnow is not the response and would just harm the ocean's sensitive environment.

"The approach is extremely disagreeable, it has barely gotten any of the sharks it was bound to get," said Labor fisheries representative Dave Kelly.

"What individuals need is exploratory examination to show why the legislature thinks this approach makes our sunny shores more secure."
