Jamaica profile 

An inert private plane has slammed in the ocean off Jamaica, authorities on the island have said. 

The Jamaican Defense Force said the plane went down in regards to 14 miles (22km) north-east of Port Antonio. 

The US had prior mixed two F-15 contender planes when the plane neglected to react to aviation authority. 

The two individuals known to be ready for been named as Larry Glazer, a property engineer from Rochester, New York, and his wife Jane. 

The couple were both authorized pilots.

Significant Basil Jarrett of the Jamaican Defense Force told correspondents that an oil spill had been spotted off the coast however there was no sign yet of any wreckage. 

He said pursuit and salvage groups were scouring the waters for conceivable survivors. 

The plane, a Socata TBM-700 inherent 2014, took off from Rochester at 08:26 (12:26 GMT) on the way to Naples, Florida. 

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad) was cautioned to the lethargic plane about a hour into its flight and sent two warrior planes to screen it. 

A representative said it was unrealistic for the warrior pilots to see inside the plane as the windows were iced or hazed over.

A tweet from Norad proposed the pilot or pilots could have been be lethargic because of "conceivable hypoxia" - oxygen hardship. 

The plane had been flying at an elevation of 25,000ft (7,600m) southbound over the Caribbean Sea, approaching the north east purpose of Jamaica, when it went off radar. 

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo paid tribute to the couple. 

"The Glazers were imaginative and liberal individuals who were focused on revitalizing downtown Rochester and making the city they adored a superior spot for all," he said. 

The couple's three youngsters said in an announcement they were "crushed". 

Prior, the US Federal Aviation Administration said it has co-worked with Cuba aviation authority in checking the plane, in spite of the nations not having full strategic relations for more than a large portion of a century.
