Thai police researching the homicides of two British voyagers say they are "near making a capture". 

Hannah Witheridge, 23, and David Miller, 24, were discovered dead on the island of Koh Tao on 15 September. 

The BBC's Jonathan Head said police are currently attempting to discover a man who left the island that day and is thought to be covering up in the Thai capital Bangkok. 

Police accept "all persons of enthusiasm" in the case have been recognized, he included.

Police have now addressed the holder of the bar where Mr Miller and Ms Witheridge were accounted for to have been included in a contention without further ado before they were executed, he said. 

He included: "His sibling has been recognized as a man seen running on CCTV pictures taken close to the wrongdoing scene - he was additionally addressed for three hours. 

"Both men gave DNA tests, yet have not been charged. The police say they are currently hunting down an alternate man joined with the family who fled to Bangkok not long after the wrongdoing." 

Police had formerly said they associated two separate examples with DNA taken from Ms Witheridge's body were from two Asian men. A prize of about £4,000 has been offered for data prompting captures
