US litigant shot dead by officers in court strike

A man blamed for burglary and attack was shot and executed in a Salt Lake City court after he lurched at a witness giving proof.

Siale Angilau, 25, passed on in healing center in the wake of being shot a few times by a US marshal before the jury at the new elected courthouse.

The FBI said he had surged towards the witness with a pen in a "forceful, undermining way".

Angilau was the final one of 17 blamed posse parts attempted as part for a 2010 case.

The case incorporated 29 checks, including attack, trick, theft and weapons offenses.

Perry Cardwell, who was in the court with his grown-up little girl, told the Associated Press news office no less than six shots were discharged.

"It was slightly traumatizing," Sara Jacobson, his girl, said.

The witness on the stand at the time was not distinguished and was not harmed.

He seemed, by all accounts, to be in his mid-20s and was affirming about pack start, Mr Cardwell said.
